Hopper's success with Easy Rider led to other directorial work, none, unfortunately, as successful as his first effort. Though he was bankrolled to make his next movie, The Last Movie above, it bombed at the box office. Hopper continued to direct, however, and also enjoyed a career as a still photographer.
