The Challenge of
Memorializing 9/11

This $1.3 million bronze memorial is one of the hundreds, if not thousands, of 9/11 tributes scattered throughout the United States. The tribute, called "Remembrance and Rebirth" depicts a young girl clutching a teddy bear and standing before an open book inscribed with the names, ages and hometowns of Essex County residents who died in the attacks.
