A Mother's Pain
Kinza Diallo, 29, says diarrhea has killed three of her children. When her 1-year-old daughter contracted the illness in 2004, she took the child by motorbike to the nearest hospital, one hour away. She was given ineffectual pills and sent away. The girl died two days later. Now when one of her children gets sick, she heads straight to the village pharmacy.
