Kareem poses with 18-month-old Tucket. Kareem has served 10 of 13 years for armed robbery and attempted murder. "Prior to raising my pup, my life was all about me," he says. "I never carried the responsibility of another person. Having a pup made me situate my life around him, as opposed to me putting myself first. The hardest part of this program is knowing that we will have to separate when his training is up."
