Little Anthony & The Imperials
Now celebrating their 50th year as a recording, touring band, Little Anthony and the Imperials are still working with just one sound: doo-wop. Their hits ("Tears on My Pillow," "Hurts So Bad"), sung in Anthony Gourdine’s stunning falsetto, remain among the best examples of the doo-wop sound. Even more amazing is that Gourdine can still hit many of the notes he hit when Eisenhower was President.
