St. Petersburg, Russia
Moscow. The Kremlin. The KGB. For the first few decades, the Cold War was a central theme in the James Bond universe — although most Bond films would give viewers only a brief glimpse of the Soviets' home country. But in 1995's Goldeneye, Bond took the fight right into the heart of Russia, commandeering a tank and rumbling through the streets of St. Petersburg. Things to see: Palace Square, the State Hermitage Museum and St. Isaac's Cathedral.
