Despite all his accomplishments and television fame, Shatner would not win an Emmy until 2004, when he was honored for his role as Denny Crane in the legal drama The Practice. He would reprise the role in the series' spin-off Boston Legal for which he would win a second Emmy Award for best supporting actor in a drama series.
