America's Game
In 1994, Burns released another multi-part history, Baseball, that chronicled a century and a half of the sport's history using anecdotes, photos and music. The series covers everything from baseball's humble origins to its heroes and scandals, the Negro Leagues and its ongoing battles between labor and management. In the photo above, Burns meets with Chicago Cubs Hall of Famer Ernie Banks at Wrigley Field as Burns promotes the series.
