Though she enjoyed a successful career in broadcasting after her first retirement, Torres was unable to shake her love for competition, so, at age 32, she made a comeback, earning both a spot on the US Olympic team in Sydney and five medals, including the gold for the 4x100 freestyle relay, above. The team, which included from left, Torres, Amy Van Dyke, Courtney Shealy and Jenny Thompson, set a world record in the final.
