MEMPHIS: The King is dead, long live the King. It was 20 years ago tomorrow that the fateful call went through to Memphis paramedics, and the spirit of Elvis departed — or at least went into hiding.

While thousands of Presley pilgrims continue to stream past his opulent Graceland tomb, the rest of Tennessee is whooping it up Elvis-style. The Memphis Convention and Visitors Bureau estimates that the busloads of diehards will pump $25 million into the local economy this week alone, thanks to all the tasteful concerts and souvenir kiosks. Elvis, if you're out there, have a real happy anniversary.
