MEMPHIS: Louis Freeh can't catch a break. A rare moment of praise for his embattled agency's work in bringing home a conviction in the Oklahoma City bombing case was dampened Tuesday by the news that an FBI SWAT team van containing rifles, ammunition and other assault gear had been stolen from a hotel parking lot in Tennessee. The burned-out van was later found in north Memphis sans about a dozen weapons, including M-16 rifles, a shotgun and a semiautomatic MP-5 rifle, as well as tear gas equipment, ammunition, helmets and bulletproof vests. No telling what clues the FBI lab may develop.
