LONDON: Proof that people on the web are suckers for royalty just like everyone else comes with the hit reports of the official Royal Family website. According to Buckingham Palace, some 12.5 million users have visited the site since its launch two months ago to find out what kind of car the Queen drives (an "Edinburgh green" Daimler Jaguar) or to learn where Fergie's daughters, Beatrice and Eugenie, rank in the order of succession (fifth and sixth, respectively). That translates into over 208,000 visitors per day a phenomenally high rate given the sites that now jostle for public notice.
