The FBI Asks For Help in the Olympic Bombing

The FBI released a sketch and several mostly-fuzzy photographs of eight people seen near the location of the Centennial Park bomb just before it exploded last summer. "The FBI is very emphatic that these are no t suspects, reports TIMEs Elaine Shannon, but rather people who are wanted for questioning." Two of the new photos show people with backpacks similar to the green military-style knapsack that held the bomb. The sketch depicted a young man w ho was seen sitting on a bench a few feet from the location of the bomb just before the explosion. One hope is that the people caught in the photographs and the sketch may have seen something in the final moments before the explosion that could help ident ify the killers.
