MEDIA, Pennsylvania: Jurors found John du Pont guilty of third degree murder, ruling that although he was not insane, mental illness played a part in the killing of Olympic wrestler David Schultz. Du Pont shot and killed Schultz three times in the driveway of his estate, where he sponsored a world-class wrestling gym. The conviction means Du Pont will first be placed in a mental institution, and only begin to serve a 20 to 40 year prison term after hes deemed cured. He must also pay a $50,000 fine. With no previous record and good behavior, du Pont could be released on parole in five years.
