WASHINGTON, D.C.: At least one Dole will be president this year. Elizabeth Dole returned to her job as president of the American Red Cross Thursday, downplaying speculation about a possible White House run four years down the road. Dole also assured reporters that her husband, who had joked after loosing the presidential race that he might be able to get work answering telephones at the charity, will not be joining her there. Although the 60-year old former Cabinet secretary had won rave notices for her smooth presentation about her husband at the Republican National Convention, Mrs. Dole said that she was comfortable (for now) at her $200,000 a year position. Addressing speculation about her political ambitions, she said: "That's not something that's on the agenda for me now. It's not something that I must do to feel fulfilled in life."
