The first day of 1996 went as did much of1995 on Wall Street. After rising more than 33 percent last year, stocks soared again today, with the Dow Jones industrial average finishing up more than 60.33 points at 5,177.45. Advancing issues led decliners by approximately 7 to 4. The S & P's composite index gained 4,80 to 620.73. On the Nasdaq, the composite index rose 6.52, ending up at 1,058.65.
