: Wall Street closed out a historic year on a quiet note, with stocks up slightly in moderate trading. The Dow Jones industrial average finished the day up 21.32 points, to end 1995 at 5,117.12. Advances led declines on a 9 to 5 ratio on the New York Stock exchange. The Standard & Poor's 500 gained 1.81 to 615.93, while the Nasdaq composite index finished up 9.91 to 1,052.13. And in London, gold closed out the year up $0.15 at $386.85.
