TIME/CNN POLL . . . WAS POWELL SLIPPING?

A TIME/CNN poll of 1,900 registered Republicans last weekend suggests that Bob Dole's GOP support has been moving up just as Colin Powell's was dropping. Asked to choose among Powell and all declared Republican candidates, 32 percent of GOP voters backed Dole, up from 25 percent since a similar poll in late September. Powell's GOP support was 24 percent, down from 29 percent in September.
