Three-time National League Cy Young award winner Greg Maddux will take the mound for Atlanta tonight as the Braves try to close out the World Series. Atlanta edged Cleveland 5-2 Wednesday night to take a 3-1 lead in the best of seven series. To win tonight, Maddux will have to beat Orel Hershiser, the Cleveland ace who, until he lost 3-2 to Maddux in the first game of the Series, had a perfect 7-0 post season record. Key for Cleveland: offensive production from someone else besides centerfielder Kenny Lofton. Despite leading the American league in hitting, the Indians are hitting an anemic .190 as a team in the Series, a slump that won't be easy to halt against Maddux, a pitcher that many feel is the best in baseball.
