Croat and Muslim forces are taking advantage of the continuing NATO airstrikes to take large chunks of Serb-held territory. Thousands of Serbs are fleeing towns in central and western Bosnia. The Bosnian government says its troops have captured the strategic towns of Donji Vakuf and Jajce, 55 miles northwest of Sarajevo. Serb forces reportedly are offering little resistance, apparently out of a reluctance to fight for land they are likely to lose under any peace agreement.
