Old Faithful is now stumping for Bill Clinton. Calling himself "a big national parks man," the President said today that he would deliver his weekly radio address Saturday in front of Yellowstone's fabled geyser. The message: parklands are in danger fromproposed GOP budget cuts. "The White House theory is that these Western states, especially Nevada and Colorado, are getting more Democratic voters as people flee the cities in California." saysTIME's James Carney. "These people are leaving over quality of life issues -- exactly the kind of people who would approve of protecting these parks."
