GEFFEN MAKES RECORD DONATION

Entertainment mogul David Geffenannounced that he will donate $4 million to two New York AIDS organizations. "I hope my contribution will encourage more people to come forward and give generously," Geffen told TIME Daily. "The real need is to raise money from people, whatever they can give, whether it's ten dollars, a hundred, a thousand. I've given $10 million to AIDS causes over the last three years." The money will be divided between the Gay Men's Health Crisis and God's Love We deliver, an organization that provides hot meals to homeless AIDS victims.
