FORTIER HELPED PLAN BOMBING

Michael Fortier now admits that he was involved inthe Oklahoma bomb plot, but maintains that he backed out just days before the blast, federal investigators say. The revelation came as Fortier's attorney reopened plea bargaining negotiations. The talks had broken down a few weeks ago when federal authorities said Fortier would not reveal enough information about his friend Timothy McVeigh or his own role in the bombing. Previously, Fortier had said his only knowledge of the bombing came from a trip with McVeigh to Oklahoma City to scout the Alfred P. Murrah building.
