BRUTAL TESTIMONY IN SIMPSON TRIAL

Nicole Brown Simpson was murdered by someone who repeatedly stabbed her in the neck and head before cutting her throat, nearly severing her head, Los Angeles County Coroner Lakshmanan Sathyavagiswaran testified. O.J. Simpson stayed in the courtroom during the testimony, but did not look at thegruesome crime scene photos. The matter-of-fact tone of the coroner contrasted sharply with the discomfort of jurors as the pictures were shown -- an effect, saysTIME Los Angeles correspondent James Willwerth, that the prosecution fully intends.
