ROLLINS REDUX

Veteran Republican campaign consultant Ed Rollins said he's sorry if he offended anyone by calling two Jewish congressmen "Hymie boys" during a roast for California Assembly Speaker Willie Brown on Monday. Rollins, recently named a senior adviser to GOP presidential contender Bob Dole, turned apologetic after the San Francisco Chronicle reported the remark today. He had both feet in his mouth already after a handful of dubious remarks -- most notably a claim that he'd paid off black ministers to tone down Democratic opposition to New Jersey Gov. Christine Whitman's 1993 campaign.
