G. Gordon Liddy, who hascome under firefor telling his radio audiences the best way to gun down federal agents, today was named winner of the 1995 Freedom of Speech Award by the National Association of Radio Talk Show Hosts. The judges admit that they agonized over the decision, but concluded that "(Liddy) has been adamant inexercising his right to freely express his opinions, particularly in voicing political speech which is critical of the government." Last year's recipient was then-New York Gov. Mario Cuomo.
