BLUE DOGS PLAY FETCH

A pack of conservative "blue dog" Democrats may fill the gap with a version of the GOP bill minus proposed tax cuts. One of them, Rep. Billy Tauzin (D-La.) today told TIME that many of the 22 conservative Democrats in his group will vote for the Republican budget, if such an alternate fails.
