U.S. FROWNS ON CHINA-IRAN NUKE DEAL

Secretary of State Warren Christopher clashed publicly with Chinese Foreign Minister Qian Qichen over a reportedChinese plan to sell nuclear reactorsto Iran. Christopher, who is already fighting a similar proposal by Russia, told Qian in New York that the idea was "too dangerous to justify." Qian replied that Beijing was doing nothing that conflicted with international law. According to the Post,Chinaplans to build two 300-megawatt pressurized water reactors in Iran, as well as transfer a dose of its nuclear know-how.
