SINN FEIN LEADER INVITED TO MEET CLINTON

President Clinton has invitedSinn Fein leader Gerry Adamsto the White House for a St. Patrick's Day reception next week. Clinton press secretary Mike McCurry said that Adams will be allowed to engage in fund-raising for the first time in the U.S. during his nine-day visit. The White House stop would be the first meeting between a U.S. president and the leader of the political arm of the Irish Republican Army. Adams did not meet Clinton when he came to the U.S. last December.
