Sen. Richard Lugar (R-Ind.) has decided to join the Republican pack of presidential contenders, his advisers told the Associated Press today. Lugar is expected to confirm his decision on CNN's "Larry King Live" tomorrow night. The AP reported that Lugar also has scheduled a news conference for Friday morning, although he plans to hold off on a formal announcement until April. Lugar, 62, is chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and most likely will stress his international affairs experience on the 1996 campaign trail.
