Having thrown down the gauntlet last night and challenged the GOP to enact lobbying reform, President Clinton belatedly directed his own legal defense fund to stop accepting contribututions from lobbyists. Clinton acted after Senate Majority Leader Bob Dole called the State of the Union comment "a cheap shot" and accused the president of hypocrisy.
