It's official: President Clinton this afternoon named veteran Democratic operative Mike McCurry as White House press secretary, replacing Dee Dee Myers. Previously chief spokesman for the Clinton State Department, McCurry drew presidential praise today for his ability to handle "sensitive, complicated and difficult issues."
