California Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein was sworn in today along with 33 other new or re-elected peers. Nevertheless, the Republican-controlled Senate Rules Committee agreed to consider an election challenge from erstwhile GOP candidate Michael Huffington, who spent $28 million of his own money to try to defeat her last November. Feinstein was seated "without prejudice" along with three Democratic House colleagues who won by tiny margins, meaning they may function while the Senate resolves whether they should remain in office. Huffington still refuses to concede, alleging that voter fraud by illegal aliens delivered the race to Feinstein.
