The Clinton Administration today began to express impatience with the North Korean government, since no progress has been made toward returning either an Army helicopter pilot downed there Saturday or the body of his co-pilot who died in the crash. Previously conciliatory, U.S. officials today expressed frustration over the delay, while President Clinton classified the situation as a "high priority" and promised to work towards a quick resolution. North Korea has claimed that the unarmed chopper was shot down when it strayed in their airspace, but the American military is waiting for outside confirmation. Although the White House says the government hopes the incident won't effect the October nuclear agreement forged between the U.S. and North Korea, a State Department spokesman said Americans will "form a judgment" about North Korea based on how quickly the matter is resolved.Post your opinion on theInternationalbulletin board.
