Meanwhile, as Bosnian peacekeepers await word on their departure, the U.S. today sent 3,000 Marines to waters near Somalia in case President Clinton decides they're needed to help pull U.N. forces from that hotbed. "We are getting ourselves in a state of readiness," Defense Secretary William Perry said today. The 15,000 U.N. peacekeepers in Somalia have been working in steadily worsening circumstances as clan warfare there has intensified.
