JET CRASHES IN FRESNO

A National Guard Learjet crashed into an apartment house in Fresno, Calif., this afternoon, killing at least two people and injuring 15 others. The plane was headed for a landing at Fresno Air Terminal and the crash touched off fires and explosions when it hit the 18-unit apartment house, leaving burned cars along surrounding streets. The California Air National Guard operated the Learjet under contract.
