The eye-poking, nose-punching and head-thwapping tradition of Larry, Moe and Curly apparently extends to the Three Stooges' squabbling heirs, whose fortune the Los Angeles courts have been forced to divvy up. Today, a jury awarded more than $2 million to descendants of two of the famed troika (Larry Fine and "Curly Joe'" DeRita). The reason: the grandson and daughter of the Stooge-in-chief, Moe Howard, had stiffed the others on revenues from Stooge-related products. Jean DeRita, Curly Joe's widow, now gets almost $1.6 million, and Fine's grandchildren receive about $500,000. BTW: The next stage of the trial, punitive damages -- ouch! -- began today.Post your opinion on theArts & Culturebulletin board.
