Clinton's popularity has sunk to a point where he'd lose to a hypothetical Republican challenger, 53 to 40 percent, if things don't change, a CNN/USA Today/Gallup released today says. The survey of 1,014, taken over the weekend, showed the president's job approval rating at 42 percent, against 50 percent disapproval. That's thelowest ratingof any president at this stage of his term, with the one exception an encouraging one -- Ronald Reagan, who easily rebounded to re-election after a 1982 rating one point lower than Clinton's.Post your opinion on theWashingtonbulletin board.
