JURY RECOMMENDS CHAIR FOR HILL

A Pensacola jury today recommended the electric chair for Paul Hill -- convicted yesterday in the shotgunslayings of an abortion doctorand his bodyguard. The recommendation -- which followed just four hours of deliberations -- now goes to Circuit Judge Frank Bell for review. The jury, which could have recommeded a life sentence, may have been persuaded by Hill's self-righteousness. "In an effort to suppress this truth, you may mix my blood with the blood of the unborn and those who have fought to defend the oppressed," Hill said in court earlier today.
