"CARJACKING" MOM ACCUSED OF MURDER

A South Carolina woman -- who begged for help on TV in finding her two sons she claimed had been kidnapped in a carjacking -- will be charged with their murder. Susan Smith set off a nationwide search after telling police that an armed man jumped into her car as she sat at a stoplight the night of Oct. 25. The man ordered her to drive several miles, then forced her out and took off with three-year-old Michael and 14-month old Alex still in their safety seats, she said. The ensuing search involved hundreds of volunteers and police. Smith's car was found this afternoon in a nearby lake with two bodies in the back seat. Smith is scheduled to be arraigned tomorrow on murder charges; the identity of the two bodies is yet to be confirmed.Post your opinion on theCrimebulletin board.
