Jordan's Crown Prince Hassan, also at the Casablanca conference, announced his country would relinquishcontrol of Muslim shrinesin east Jerusalem -- a privilege Israel had just granted Jordan in last month's peace treaty, infuriating Palestinians so much that PLO chairman Yasser Arafat boycotted the treaty signing.
