Baseball players may be dipping into their considerable savings to squeak through the strike, but the football strikers of 1987 are suddenly cashing in. The National Labor Relations Board decided that 1,300 NFL players should get their share of back pay while they were unlawfully barred from play during that season -- to the tune of $30 million.
