About 1,000 people gathered in downtown Pittsburgh for a memorial service for the crash victims. The ceremony included a Christian song recorded earlier by one of the victims, "Sailing to Heaven's Shore." "It brought everyone to tears," says TIME Pittsburgh reporter Douglas Root, who attended.
