O.J. SIMPSON . . . HE WON'T FACE DEATH PENALTY

Prosecutors will not seek the death penalty against O.J. Simpson in the slayings of his wife and her friend, they said Friday. Instead they will seek life without the possibility of parole. The announcement was expected by legal observers, who point out that jurors would have been less likely to side with the prosecution if it had pursued the death penalty.
