O.J. . . . ANOTHER BLOW TO THE DEFENSE

Judge Lance Ito ruled that the prosecution does not have to provide the defense with blood samples found at the murder scene or O.J Simpson's estate for DNA testing. This is a major blow for the defense because the outcome of the trial will depend heavily on forensic evidence; there are no known eyewitnesses to the killings. Even as he delivered this gift to the prosecution, he also reserved some harsh words for it: "What was revealed to the court in the course of this hearing was a picture of confusion, miscommunication and non-communication between the prosecuting attorneys and LAPD (police department)," Ito wrote.
