Itís not easy herding flamingos in the best of times. But driving them into a menís room with a hurricane bearing down takes a steady hand -- and thick skin. With Hurricane Georges heading for Florida Thursday, zookeepers at Miamiís Metrozoo scrambled to get their flamingos indoors and out of harm's way. Lead zookeeper Martha Thaden lost her glasses and got pecked on the arm while her assistants grabbed the flapping birds by their necks, feet and anything else they could get their hands on. "This is the third time we've had to do this in my 19 years here," said Metrozoo spokesman Ron Magill. "It's ugly."
