HEALTH-CARE DEBATE . . . DEMS GET BOOST

The Democrats basked in the glow of good news today, as the American Association of Retired Persons cast a vote in favor of their health plan. This news topped the Senate's vote to kill a resolution by Jesse Helms (R., North Carolina) that would have delayed voting on any health-care bill by one year.
