Cuban dissidents hijacked a boat and headed for the U.S., the fourth such incident in 10 days. It was intercepted by the U.S. Coast Guard late in the afternoon, 60 miles off Key West, Fla. According to a Cuban diplomat, hijackers killed a Cuban navy lieutenant and forced four sailors overboard before setting sail from the Cuban port of Mariel in a commandeered vessel. They reportedly stopped to pick up a number of other Cubans.
