As thoughts of the taxman threaten to befoul even the sweetest of spring breezes, take heart: You, the American people, are in the money. Among the roses that came up Tuesday: The Labor Department announced Tuesday that inflation in March was -- get this -- zero. That's the second nil reading in three months this year. The Dow, meanwhile, was up 100 in afternoon trading, and traders seem intent on dancing on 9000's grave.

Worried about Asia? Take heart: South Korea's government announced plans for a $3.5 billion equity fund that will be used to purchase stock of troubled companies and keep their employees working -- and that of course means more spending money to buy stuff like Pentium chips and Nike sneakers. Heck, even Kodak had a good quarter.

So if you're in stocks, go ahead and buy that monogrammed money clip -- remember, big bills on the outside. If not, go for a drive in the sun: energy prices are way down. And don't worry, we won't tell the IRS how well you're doing.
