Martin's songwriters seem to have a thing for wild women. First, on his self-titled 1999 English-language debut, there was that crazy chick who was Livin' La Vida Loca. Now, on his new CD, the Latin pop star sings about sex-obsessed hotties on She Bangs and Jezabel. Much like that on Martin's last album, Sound Loaded's production is somewhat overdone, and the vocals are often overwhelmed by the surging instrumentation. But through it all, Martin has a charm that's hard to deny. The women in his lyrics may be rough and ready, but Martin is always smooth.
